Prodigy Squashes Jay-Z Beef?

Prodigy of Mobb Deep buried any ideas of lingering beef between the Queensbridge duo and superstar Jay-Z. The two parties had a long and tumultuous history, but now Prodigy claims none of that is relevant. He's focused on making music.
"Tell [Jay-Z] to get in the studio," Prodigy said during an appearance on "RapFix Live." "He gotta come to Infamous Studios in Queens, though."
Prodigy added that past issues belong in the past.
"It's just hip-hop, man, making good songs. Everything else is irrelevant, man," Prodigy stated. "All the feelings and dudes wanna act feminine, put that to the side, man."

Rick Ross Is Resting?

Maybach Music's Meek Mill shared a little bit of news regarding Rick Ross' recent absence from Philadelphia's Powerfest. Meek says that Ross is taking a little time off to get his health back to normal following some seizures Ross suffered two weeks ago.
"He's just getting rest," Meek Mill told MTV News. "He had his little situation and you wanna make sure your health is 100 percent, you don't wanna be 98, you don't wanna be 97. He's trying to get his rest, chill with his kids." "That boy Ross, he's never had a vacation," Mill continued. "I talked to him the other day, Ross told me he never had a vacation so I'm like 'you might as well chill, get your health right.'"

Kim K Marriage Arranged?

Kim Kardashian asked for this. When your 'whirlwind romance' plays out in sleazy reality show-style excess, the whole world isn't going to stop scrutinizing your nuptials. The socialite/reality star's marriage to NBA role player Kris Humphries is being called a sham by unnamed sources.
Rumors are flying that the whole relationship and marriage was arranged by E! and the network allegedly scoured New York City for a pro athlete that Kim could date while filming the show "Kourtney and Kim Take On New York." They even considered A-Rod and Derek Jeter.
They even timed Kim's wedding announcement to coincide with the season finale of sis Khloe's show, "Khloe & Lamar" with her pro athlete hubby, Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom.

Rick Ross, Jeezy No-Shows

Rappers Rick Ross and Young Jeezy missed a show last night (October 28) in Philadelphia. Ross was supposed to perform at the Power 99FM "Powerhouse Concert," as was Jeezy, Wiz Khalifa, Meek Mill, Chris Brown, Big Sean and others. No explanation has been given for either rapper's absence.
Ross has had ongoing health problems recently and was forced to cancel some performances over the last two weeks since he suffered two seizures in one day on October 14th, prior to a show in Memphis.
There are rumors that tension between Jeezy and Ross' camps also may have contributed to the no-shows.

Lola Monroe Joins Taylor Gang

Rapper/model LoLa Monroe has joined Wiz Khalifa's Taylor Gang imprint. She broke the news during an interview on Atlanta's V-103 FM. She said that the two of them shared a similar vision, which led to her joining Wiz's crew.
“We got it in with Taylor Gang. Wwe Taylored now,” she said. “Wiz is like a positive free individual that’s about his business and that matches everything I’ve created on my side. When he reached out, he was like, ‘I feel as though our movements represent the same thing, so I want you to rep Taylor Gang.’ And I agreed, so it’s only right. Plus, out of all the situations that came to me, my business instincts and just the comfort level, I felt it was just the right move with him. He’s a stand-up dude and it just felt right.”
The Washington, D.C. native is recording her debut.

Madonna Taps Femcees For Single

Pop legend Madonna has reached out to two female hip hop superstars for her as-yet-untitled new single. The Material Girl has tapped Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. to appear on the song, which will be included on her next album. The project is reportedly almost completed.
Madonna has a long history of working with hip hop stars. She's recorded with Lil Wayne, Missy Elliott and Timbaland. In her personal life, she's been 'affiliated' with everyone from Vanilla Ice to 2Pac to Big Daddy Kane.
The album is being produced by William Orbit.

Nicki Minaj Involved In Altercation

Nicki Minaj was reportedly involved in a heated dispute with a maid in her home that led to the police being called. Earlier today, the authorities were called to the rapper's home over a dispute between Minaj and a maid she thought she had fired weeks ago.
The maid had previously taken a picture of Minaj from the trash and asked the rapper to sign it; which anger Nicki. She allegedly fired the worker on the spot.
But when the maid returned to work today, Nicki became livid and ordered her off the premises. The maid refused to leave and said she would not be 'treated like an animal;' and Nicki allegedly responded: "I'll show you how to treat someone like an animal ... get the f**k out of my house!"
But according to TMZ, Nicki actually made a mistake. The woman she was yelling at was not the same woman she'd fired. Nonetheless, the rapper's boyfriend began pushing the maid--who's boss then called the cops and filed a battery report.
No one was taken into custody, however, and no official statement has been issued from Nicki Minaj's spokespeople.

Lala Anthony Talks Success

Lala Anthony shared her secrets to success in a recent interview. Mrs. Carmelo says she's more than just a famous NBA star's wife and that her key is focusing on her own interests. Of course, being Melo's wifey doesn't hurt.
“You have to set a goal and really work towards it. A lot of people say, ‘I want to do this, I want to do that,’ but what are you doing to get to that goal?" she says. "If you want to act, are you in acting classes? It takes that kind of commitment to get better at a craft, and people see the final result; but they don’t know the work it takes to do these kinds of things.”
Good advice.

2 Chainz Never Changed His Name?

2 Chainz was formerly known as Tity Boi of Playaz Circle, but the Atlanta rapper says that he never actually changed his name. In a somewhat-confusing 'explanation,' 2 Chainz says that the 'new' name was a nick name he gave himself.
He says once he said it on a record, the public ran with it.
"No, see I never changed my name this is what happened," Chainz explained in an interview. "I didSupply and Demand12 Circle with DTP and Def Jam. I did a song called "Dear Mr. LA Reid" and someone else said Tity/2 Chainz and I had been saying it all the time but I guess the stars lined up and then definitely the way I said, the delivery, 2 Chainz made it lady and kid friendly. In my 8th grade yearbook picture I had on 2 chains. I had always been into like jewelry so 2 Chainz just stuck."

Wale Gets Emotional

Wale has no problem opening up in his music. Rappers are definitely more 'in their feelings' than they used to be; and while Young Money superstar Drake may be the poster boy for emo-rap, Wale also says he's not afraid to let his emotions show in song--and he doesn't care who has a problem with it.
The D.C. rhymer says he's not trying to prove how cool he is in every song.
"I'm just myself," Wale said. "I don't have anything that I gotta prove -- I know what I am to my city. I know what I to my fans. I don't gotta try to out-cool everybody every song. I gotta give emotion."

Chris Brown Starring In B-Boy Film

Singer Chris Brown has been tapped to star in the upcoming hip hop dance film Planet B Boy. The movie is to be directed by Bronson Lee, who also directed and produced the documentary of the same name; which focused on b-boy culture in Japan, Germany, France and the U.S.
The film version will follow a crew of dancers training to compete for a world championship in France.
Brown and his crew will compete against rivals from Korea, France, Russia and other parts of Europe. Josh Holloway, Laz Alonso and others have been slated to also star in the project.

Kendrick Lamar On Drake

West Coast rapper Kendrick Lamar discussed his upcoming "Club Paradise" tour with fellow rap star Drake and A$AP Rocky. He says that his friendship with Drake was sparked after the two had a chance to hang out in Toronto.
“Shout out to Drake. I sat down with Drake in Toronto a while back when I did my first show out there. He called me up and we had a few drinks and he always said he was appreciative of his music,” he said. “I’ve always been a fan of his music. We just been chopping it up since. He hit me up one day and said ‘You know what? Handpicked, I want you to be on this tour with me.’"
"There’s a lot of artists out there who could have been out there on tour with him, for him to sit there and respect my music," he added. "We have the same mutual respect.”

Big Boi Recording With Little Dragon

Big Boi has been recording with Swedish band Little Dragon at Stankonia Studios in Atlanta. The rapper had collaborated with the band earlier in the year, but there is still no official statement regarding when and where the music would turn up.
But Big Boi posted footage of the artists working in the studio.
“We are live at Stankonia Studios the place where all the funky things come from. We been in here for like 10 hours today. Rocking out, jamming. We cut two records…Daddy Fat Sax: Soul Crusader coming soon. And we just made history tonight man,” Big Boi revealed in the video.
“Yeah, I’m so excited. I can’t wait for it to come out. I want it to be out now,” added Little Dragon singer Yukimi Nagano.

Beyonce & Jay-Z Baby Gender Revealed

Beyonce and Jay-Z have learned the gender of their expected child. The couple are reportedly looking forward to a bouncing baby girl; according to In Touch. An unnamed insider, cited only as a 'close friend of the singer's' has revealed that the diva is ecstatic at the news.
"Beyoncé is thrilled she's having a daughter," said the source. "She and her mother are so close, and she's wanted to have that relationship with her own child."
The baby girl is expected in February of 2012.

Lil Wayne Dismissed "Watch The Throne" + Not Satisfied With Nicki Success

"Watch the Throne" may have been one of the biggest albums of the year, but Lil Wayne hasn't caught wind of it. The Cash Money superstar told VIBE that he hasn't heard the album--and it's not on his to-do list, either.
“I haven’t heard the album," he says. "I’ll probably never hear the album,” he said.
He also had some words for his Young Money starlet Nicki Minaj.
“I'm not satisfied with anything she's done,” he said. “I believe she can do a whole lot more, and I believe she will do a whole lot more. It's not shocking, and it's not surprising. It's quite fitting. But other than that, it's nowhere near the end."

50 Cent Doubts Wayne's Numbers?

50 Cent said that he might be a little skeptical about the big numbers for The Carter IV. 50 says that the album's sale numbers might be 'suspect' but he did give the album props for being quality.
But he isn't sure about those numbers.
"To be honest with you, the Lil Wayne sales are a little suspect to me. Because it was trending 600,000 pieces that week. And they didn't do a million copies, it was like 900,000," 50 said. "Tha Carter III was definitely hot. He did that." 50 Cent goes on to say: "Tha Carter III commanded that energy, but the last one that just came out, those numbers are funny."

Soulja Boy Admits Mistakes

Rapper Soulja Boy was at the center of controversy last month after he made dismissive comments about American soldiers in a freestyle. But the 21-year old says that he doesn't always intentionally try to ruffle feathers--especially when he freestyles.
Soulja Boy says he always tries to make it clear what his true intentions are.
"Words are powerful. When I make mistakes I just try to come back and clarify what I meant," Soulja Boy said in an interview. "I just handle [it] by having [people] around me that's gonna be like, 'Hey Soulja, you know, I don't think you should say that sh*t.' ... Most of the time I go into the studio, if I'm not writing the song before I do the beat, I just freestyle. So that's how I get messed up. If I say something bad on a track, most of the time, it was said non-consciously."

Fat Joe Couldn't Resist J. Lo's Butt?

Fat Joe said that, for years, he's avoided staring at his friend Jennifer Lopez's infamous butt. The two recorded together as far back as the late 90s, and Joey Crack says he's resisted J. Lo's rump for the better part of a decade.
But after taking the stage with her last week in Connecticut, Joe says he finally allowed himself the pleasure of gazing at her famous backside.
"Honestly, I've never looked at J.Lo's a**," said Joey Crack. "Never. It would be disrespectful for her to look at me like a brother figure and then when she turns around, I'm staring at her a**. But the other night, I'm watching the performance and she's wearing some beige sh*t and I couldn't avoid it. It was right there. [Laughs] So I finally seen it. I told her about it too and was like, 'Yo, listen, that beige suit? I've always been the brother, but your a** was there, like...' She started laughing."

Bridget Kelly Loves Alicia Keys?

Bridget Kelly garnered a significant amount of attention standing in for Alicia Keys during Jay-Z's performance of "Empire State of Mind" on "Saturday Night Live" last year and during several of the rapper's live performances. But the Roc Nation singer says she's not afraid of being compared to A-Keys--even as she works to establish her own persona.
"I love it. I love the Alicia comparisons. I think she’s brilliant," Kelly says. "There’s no shame in being compared to Alicia. I’m a fan of her work and her movement and what she stands for for women."
The singer also discussed being signed to Jay's Roc Nation imprint.
"I was signed to Roc Nation the same time as J. Cole," she says. "At the time, I was sort of in a different space. I thought I wanted to do very emo rock music, sort of like Alanis Morrisette or Pink. But then I headed out on the BP3 tour and got to really learn the business and all the many many different parts that go into developing and selling an artist and the experience was quite humbling. My very first show as an artist was Madison Square Garden."

Video Beyoncé - Party ft. J. Cole

Drake On Kanye

Drake revealed in a recent interview that while he grew up on Kanye West's music and was inspired to become a rapper by the Chicago native, he now views Yeezy as his competition more than anything.
Drake discussed Kanye's influence in a recent interview with the Source.
"When I was a kid trying to figure out what I liked, it was [Kanye] who I related to the most," Drake says. "He was an artist, in every sense, from his cover art to his music."
"Now, I would say he was a really great competitor...." Drizzy added.

Justin Bieber Recruits Drake, Kanye

Justin Beiber has landed a couple of high-profile hip hop collaborators for his upcoming album, Believe. The project is Bieber's follow-up to 2010's My World 2.0, and the singer announced in an interview that he already has landed two of hip hop's biggest names for the album.
“I’m working with a lot of cool people. I’m working with Kanye. Drake is gonna work on the album with me and a lot of different artists,” he said.
Bieber is also working on his Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe, which will reportedly feature Mariah Carey and Busta Rhymes--among others.

Lil Wayne Downplays Sequels

Despite his manager's proclamations earlier this month that rapper Lil Wayne was focused on recording the album sequels I Am Not A Human Being 2 and Rebirth 2, Weezy himself is dismissing both projects as 'unimportant.'
Wayne says that he and Cash Money/Young Money are more focused on Drake and Nicki Minaj's upcoming sophomore releases.
"Drake’s album Take Care is coming November 15th, I think. Nicki is about to be working on her next album. What’s the name of it? She said she’s still figuring out a name, so we still figuring it out. Stunna coming. I Am Not a Human Being 2 and Rebirth 2 are so not important right now. And that is what it is,” he said. “We got Twist coming, we got Tyga coming and then we have Shanell coming. Bow Wow coming… That’s what’s really important right now. What I’m doing is really never important, actually. I’m a very unimportant guy. That’s just me."

Big Sean Charges Dropped

Rapper Big Sean scored a legal victory today (October 26) as sexual misconduct charges against him in Lewiston, New York were dropped. He was arrested in August on charges of sexual abuse and unlawful imprisonment after a female fan said he and an associate attempted to keep her against her will.
The District Attorney decided not to pursue the sexual misconduct allegations and instead, allowed the rapper to plead guilty to lesser charges.
“I am pleased to announce that after further investigation, the Niagra County District Attorney decided not to pursue any of the sexual misconduct allegations against Mr. Anderson,” Big Sean’s attorney Scott Leemon Esq. told AllHipHop. “As a result and in order to get the entire ordeal behind him, Mr. Anderson agreed to plead guilty to unlawful imprisonment, along with a $750 fine. Mr. Anderson regrets any miscommunication that day, but reiterates he didn’t engage in any type of misconduct.”

Common Rejuvenated By No I.D.

Common reunited with longtime collaborator, producer No I.D., on his upcoming album The Dreamer, The Believer, and the Chicago natives immediately rekindled the chemistry they'd shared throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. In what tends to be a rarity in modern hip hop, No I.D. handles the production on the entire album.
For Common, the whole experience served as a reminder of his musical roots.
“I hadn’t worked with No I.D. for like 8 or 9 years,” he said. “We really hadn’t talked that much either, so reconnecting with him - especially as we’ve both grown as human beings, men, and artists - reminded me what I love music for and why I love hip-hop. It’s like, you’ve done this, you’ve been to the White House, you’ve done these things, but you’re still a hip-hop dude. It’s kind of a good reminder.”

Amy Winehouse Cause of Death Revealed

Late soul singer Amy Winehouse died from fatal levels of alcohol in her system, according to Coroner Suzanne Greenaway. Greenaway decreed that Winehouse died from 'death by misadventure' attributed to accidental alcohol poisoning.
"The unintended consequence of such potentially fatal levels (of alcohol) was her sudden and unexpected death," Greenaway said.
Winehouse's physician, Dr. Christina Romete, said she warned the Grammy winner the day before she died about her excessive drinking. Winehouse's family issued a statement following the coroner's revelation.
"It is some relief to finally find out what happened to Amy," the family shared. "We understand there was alcohol in her system when she passed away, it is likely a build-up of alcohol in her system over a number of days. The court heard that Amy was battling hard to conquer her problems with alcohol and it is a source of great pain to us that she could not win in time."
"She had started drinking again that week after a period of abstinence," the family's statement says. "It underlines how important our work with the Amy Winehouse Foundation is to us, to help as many young people and children as we can in her name. It means a lot to us and from the overwhelming messages of support we have had since Amy died, we know she meant a great deal to people all over the world. We want to thank everyone for that and for their continuing enthusiasm for the Foundation."

Khia Disses Beyonce?

Irrelevant rapper Khia is willing to do anything for a little attention. The one-hit wonder took to Twitter to launch into a random tirade against Beyonce, proving that any publicity is good publicity in the "My Neck, My Back" rapper's world.
"@beyonce has been smoking rocks if she thinks her J. Cole remix flop "Party" will be as big as My Neck My Back.," she tweeted October 25th. "Goodmorning xox, death threats from @jayz What is he going to do stab me, because I like solange better then @beyonce!"
"Don't hate because I like Matthew better the Tina. I don't rock bedazzled jeans shirts & jackets @beyonce," she continued. "Now how you going to hate on b*tch who got swagger jacked? Just know this I have SOMETHING real cute for Matthews daughter! #GETMONEYB*TCH"

Freddie Gibbs On 2Pac Comparisons

Freddie Gibbs has built a reputation for being an outspoken rapper with controversial opinions. Some have even compared the young rhymer to the late 2Pac for his brashness, but Gibbs downplayed the similarities. He did acknowledge that he appreciates being spoken of in that vein, however.
But he's not out to irritate people for no reason.
"It's whatever ... to me that's love. I'm definitely not one to go off and offend muthaf*ckas for no reason, but I just say what I wanna say," Freddie explained. "It's all outta good fun so it's best to just be cool with me cause n*ggas don't wanna shoot that fair one. None of these muthaf*ckas gonna say a d*mn thing to me, man. It be alotta talk on Twitter and behind closed doors, though."

Teedra Moses On Maybach Music

Maybach Music's Teedra Moses admitted that sometimes she feels out of place amongst the other talents on Rick Ross' imprint's roster. She's a soul singer and a female and typically surrounded by male rappers. She says that alone keeps her in a different lane.
"I'm a girl, so therefore I'm not always in the mix of what they're doing and I'm a singer," Moses says. "They always travel in the same circle whereas my hustle is in a different room. I hope it doesn't bother him that I stick to myself, but I don't think so...Sometimes I feel like I'm off to the side, but I don't think they think much of it cause I'm not the only girl, there's also Audra [The Rapper]."
"I'm going to be in New York in a few weeks and it's going to be the first time that me and Audra first meet each other, so we're trying to make our conglomerate cause we're the only two girls," she adds. "And I know that Meek, Wale, Pill and Ross are really close. Being that I don't have a penis, it's really hard for me to be all up in that."

Kreayshawn Lashes Out?

A day after Gangsta Boo dismissed Kreayshawn as a 'gimmick' and a 'wigger,' Kreay took to Twitter and launched some verbal darts of her own. Without naming names, the Oakland-raised pop rapper had some harsh words for someone.
It seems pretty obvious what sparked the tirade.
"Hahahah lonely hungry b*tch don't deserve a mention. my local news caster got more followers then on you. Go play with ya kids hoe!," she tweeted October 26th. "Hope them shirts you selling at least paying your rent! Happy I can contribute ;)"

Soulja Boy Returns To Blonde Look?

For some strange reason, Soulja Boy has returned to his ill-advised blonde look. A week after he was arrested for drug possession in Georgia, the 21-year-old posted a Twitter photo of himself with his blonde 'do. He first dabbled in a dye job back at the start of 2011, but dumped it after a short while.
He didn't give any explanation for returning to the Sisqo look.
His documentary Soulja Boy: The Movie just hit stores last week. It looks like he's willing to do a little of everything to keep his name out there.

?uestlove Discusses Roots Album

Roots drummer/producer ?uestlove shared some details about the group's upcoming thirteenth album undun. In an interview with Billbaord, ?uest discussed the album's completion and the concept fueling the project.
"We actually completed [the album] at five [o'clock] this morning, so it's officially done," he said of the album. "It's essentially a biographical narrative about Redford Stephens. Stephens [is] a composite of four or five people that we've known over the past few years from Philadelphia."
?uestlove also shared details regarding his work on soul singer D'Angelo's long-delayed third album. “I'm on his [D'Angelo's] record as well," he said. "He's in the home stretch right now. I know that Fred Wesley and the JB Horns just did a cut that Q-Tip did; I know he's doing his vocals right now."

Kanye Asked To Address Immigration

Kanye West is in Birmingham, Alabama prepping his "Watch the Throne" tour with Jay-Z; but several college students are asking the rap star to make his voice heard on a hot-button political issue. A petition posted on Change.org has been signed by almost 1,000 students who are asking West to speak out against Alabama’s new immigration law.
They want West to meet with Civil Rights leaders, politicians and other influential individuals in Alabama, about HB 56; a controversial bill that endorses what is being called some of the most extreme anti-immigration legislation in the country.
William Anderson, a student at University of Alabama Birmingham, organized the petition.
“Like thousands of Kanye fans, I grew up listening to Hip-Hop, and it was one of the things that shaped my consciousness about race and justice,” said William Anderson, who launched the campaign on Change. “Alabama’s new immigration law is an attack on the state’s citizens, documented and undocumented. In the spirit of the social justice and hip hop, I hope that Kanye listens to his fans and takes a few minutes to learn and educate others about the crisis that is happening in Alabama.”

Webbie On BET Controversy

Rapper Webbie has spoken up about his ongoing feud with Terrence J and Rocsi of BET's "106 & Park," and his being banned from BET altogether. The rapper was reportedly kicked off of the show for making derogatory remarks to Rocsi, which led to him releasing a viral video disrespecting Terrence J and claiming that he, Webbie--is BET.
During a phone interview with WGCI's 107.5, he tried to explain his side of the controversy.
“It ain’t nothing against me and BET. BET, I love BET, I’ve been watching BET all my life. I am BET, BET is black entertainment, you know what I’m saying?” Webbie explained to the morning show. ”That was some personal stuff, you know with Rocsi and Terrence you know, that’s his old lady I guess. Go look at the computer, look at the Vibe Magazine and that’s what happened.”
He also discussed a photo of Rocsi hugging him and their history.
“Look, look, look, that Vibe Magazine picture, that’s what happened. My album November 15. Savage Live 3,” he added. “I knew her before I made ‘Bad B***h’, ‘Gimme that P***y’ before I started making rap, I don’t know Terrence.”
“I didn’t never know her personally, I just know how we live and where we live and the picture just explains it all. I just say Terrence, get yo ho mane! Mane get yo ho mane, get yo ho mane, that yo ho, that ain’t got nothing to do with me and BET, this ain’t got nothing to do with the millions of kids that I say stay in school. I make sure to say stay in school," he continued. "At the end of the day that’s small, get yo ho, get yo girl.”

"Detox" Details Emerge

Though it is still unclear when Dr. Dre's long-delayed Detox album will be released, more details have been released regarding the almost-mythological project's progress. Snoop Dogg has been working with fellow West Coast veterans DJ Quik, The D.O.C. and Battlecat on the project.
According to Snoop, the songs that have come from these sessions will be both Dre solo tracks and songs that feature the former Death Row rhyme partners together.
Footage has been released featuring all of these artists collectively working on the project and discussing the need to release the best work possible

Ryan Leslie Sued Over Laptop Reward

Ryan Leslie has been hit with a lawsuit over the reward for a stolen laptop that the singer/songwriter lost in Germany in 2010. When the computer was stolen from his Mercedes while he was traveling in Cologne, he tweeted a reward offer of $25,000 for the laptop, which had several of his latest productions on it.
The reward was eventually raised to $1 million.
But a lawsuit filed yesterday (October 24) in New York by Armin Augstein claims that Ryan Leslie reneged on his agreement to pay the reward, Augstein's lawyers say that the lawsuit was filed to force the producer to pay.
“It’s unfortunate that my client has to go to such lengths to recover the reward,” said Augstein's attorney Michael Fischman.

T.I. Clowns Chelsea Handler

While appearing on "Chelsea Lately" to promote his recently-released book Power & Beauty, rapper T.I. decided to poke a little fun at host Chelsea Handler and her past with hip hop superstar 50 Cent. T.I. joked that the late night host had changed her last name.
"Your last name isn't 'Lately' by the way, Chelsea," T.I. said. "I thought your last name was 'Cent.' I thought it was Chelsea Cent."
"No that's not true, 50's last name was 'Lately' for a while," Chelsea quipped back. "But then we changed it back."

Jim Jones Was Almost Jumped?

Dipset member Jim Jones says that was almost the victim of a robbery earlier this week. Jones says he was in Uptown when three assailants targeted him, but he was able to get out of the situation thanks to quick wits and adrenaline.
"I was in Harlem, alone, when three men stepped to me," he explained to Miss Info. "Well the first guy, I beat the shit out of him, then the second guy jumped in with a metal pipe. I was so amped up I didn't even feel him hitting me with it. I was still putting a beating on the first guy. But when the third guy pulled out a gun, I got out of there. I left. Anyone with a brain would do the same."
"That was a stupid mistake," Jones added. "I know that. I'm human and that's where I slipped up. It won't happen again."

Gangsta Boo Disses Kreayshawn

Memphis rapper Gangsta Boo isn't feeling Oakland pop rap star Kreayshawn. The former Three-Six-Mafia associate shared her criticisms of Kreayshawn in a recent interview, labeling the "Gucci Gucci" star a 'wigger' and a 'gimmick.'
“I don’t listen to Kreayshawn. I’m really not feeling her,” she said. “I think she’s a wigger. I think she looks like she came out the movie BAPS. You familiar with that movie? Like the whole ghetto girl thing, I don’t know if that’s how white girls do it in Oakland.”
“I really don't know, I got to meet her personally to feel her out," Boo continued. "To understand like, ‘OK, like this is really this girl, like she ain’t a wigger, she just her. She likes ghetto looks, she’s not trying to be a black girl. That’s just her.’ So until I meet her I have a little bitter taste in my mouth to her. […] To me its an act and it’s a gimmick but its not a funny one.”

Remy Ma: A Day In the Life

Incarcerated rapper Remy Ma shared a bit of what her daily life is like while she serves out the remainder of her eight year sentence for criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of assault. The rapper seems to have settled into her current situation.
But then again--what choice does she have?
"At 8-o'clock you have to go to whatever your program is. Like, before I was working at inmate grieving. It's where everybody goes with whatever their problems in the jail is," she told XXL. "But now, from 8am to 11:00am I'm suppose to be mowing lawns and weed whacking and sh*t like that. Between 12:00pm and 12:30pm, they'll probably call the Mess Hall. If it's grilled cheese or pizza I'll have to go to the Mess Hall; other wise, I just sit in my cell and just read or paint my nails or write or do my hair. From 1:00pm to 4:00pm you have a program again. Then after 4:00pm I'm back. Probably make something to eat or whatever. I try to eat before 5:00pm. I have [a] girl [and] we play Scrabble, Monopoly, Backgammon-- every game out. Like, I'm a game master. Like any type of board game--I'm a champion, like I'm trying to get to 700 points. The most I ever had was like 680 something."

Ms. Cat Dishes On Drake!

Ms. Cat aka Cat Washington from "Bad Girls Club 5" popped up on Philly's Hot 107.9 and dished all kinda dirt about her past relationship with Young Money superstar Drake. She says the two were definitely in a relationship and that he was in love with her after meeting her on the set of his "Best I Ever Had" video.
"Of course, it was an awesome relationship," Cat says. "I was in love, he was in love and by the way in the song he said he was in love, so don’t try to switch it up now. I never mentioned you, you mentioned me. It was good. I’m talking family dinners and we in Whole Foods pushing the cart around. It was a regular relationship. I was in love and he was in love but at the end of the day he started getting a little bit too loose. Meaning he pops up in the tabloids with Maliah, trips to Jamaica that I wasn’t invited to or never heard about. I’m from Philly and we don’t go for that."
"It’s a problem [when] you had the kind of relationship we had. That was my dude; it wasn’t somebody I was just kicking it with. If you were just kicking it, you can do what you wanna do but I was yours and you were mine."
When asked about Drake's sexual prowess, Cat had this to say:
"He is a phenomenal “peach eater” and he is black and Jewish and the black side is Mandingo."
Whoa!

Rihanna Spotted In Another Sex Shop?

Rihanna is becoming well-known for hanging out in sex shops. After being spotted at one in Canada a few months back with ex-boo thang Drake, the sexy singer was seen recently in another adult toy store purchasing handcuffs, scented candles and lingerie.
She also reportedly had a book by Ellen Von Unwerth of sexually-graphic photos.
"She knew exactly what she was after and didn't want any assistance picking out items," a source told the paper. "There was no dithering. She was grinning from ear to ear and seemed to be in a hurry to get back to her hotel."
